A1A chassis update

…two steps forward, two steps back.

I’ve just posted a video of the latest design iteration of the A1A chassis.

As you can see it now has pick-ups and I’ve resolved the jumping worm drive problem.

Unfortunately, there are still more issues to iron out. The main one is that some of the tolerances within the gearboxes are clearly too small, and that causes binding every so often. A bit of filing work may resolve that on the prototype, but it looks like I’ll need to do some further modifications to the CAD design.

The broader issue is producing many of these gearboxes at scale. Long story short, the design won’t be completed by the end of this month.
