NZR H class Fell locomotive (shell) - NZ120
NZR H class Fell locomotive shell.
The H class were famous for their use on the Rimutaka Incline on the Wairarapa line between Wellington and Wairarapa. Essentially a tank locomotive with an additional set of horizontal wheels to grip a centre-rail, these locomotives were in use for the entire life of the incline from 1875 to 1955, when the section was replaced by the Remutaka tunnel.
Scale is NZ120 (TT scale, 1:120).
