Order delay blues
It’s the time of the year again… my sincere apologies to everyone waiting on orders from 3 Foot 6 Models. This is a part-time business for me; I’ve very much like to make it full-time, but my financial plan to do that (wining Powerball) keeps falling through.
I have a number of projects I’m working away on which in addition to normal orders are slowly being progressed. Wait times have blown out again on orders of 3D prints up to four weeks.
For decals, I am struggling to get through the backlog. Decals are printed as requested, but the most time consuming part is making sure timing is correct. I really don’t want to sell people decals that are the wrong size.
On top of this, some of you would’ve noticed I’ve changed my quoting process to use Xero, which is much easier to keep track of what was quoted when. This should remove some of the errors I’ve made (missing parts…) in the last couple of months.
The good news is though that this all points to a business in growth mode.
